Have you heard the saying that everything that tastes good still tends to be sinful and unhealthy? However, we have great news for you, because with the recipe we are about to share with you, we will definitely dispel this myth right away! The combination of creamy almond butter and sweet honey is really sinfully good, and if you add a bit of vanilla and a little banana, it really can’t get any better. However, this creamy fudge contains neither milk, refined sugar, gluten nor anything else that is not good for your health. This melt-in-the-mouth almond fudge is really worth a try!
Quantity: approximately 12 squares
Preparation time: 15 minutes + 1 hour in the freezer
Difficulty level: Easy
You will need:?
- 85g raw honey
- 120g natural almond butter
- 110g coconut fat
- ? banana
- a pinch of salt (just a little, to balance the flavours!)
- if desired, natural vanilla (optional)
- tray (preferably of silicone, but any other tray covered with baking paper is also applicable)
How to prepare?
Measure the ingredients in a bowl (except banana) and melt in a water bath until smooth (stirring constantly). When the mixture has melted, put it together with the banana in a blender, food processor or use a hand blender and whiz until smooth. Pour the resulting mixture into a tray of your choice. It is most feasible to use a silicone tray, but any other tray previously covered with baking paper is also suitable. If you use a silicone tray, the use of baking paper is not required. Let the mixture harden in the freezer for an hour and then cut into squares of the size you like and enjoy! If the fudge is too hard and solid when taking out of the freezer, let it sit at room temperature or in the fridge for a few minutes. Be sure to store the treat in the fridge, otherwise it tends to melt.?
It is quite a heavy treat, but we can say in confidence that you won’t want a lot of it at once! The very first piece satisfies the sweet tooth and caresses the taste buds, suitable for both old and young gourmands.
